CNA Pauses on Writing Hospitals

April 14th, 2021 | 1 min. read

By Jonathan Waterman

CNA recently notified their brokers that they are “taking a pause” on writing medical professional liability for hospital accounts across the U.S.  This takes effect with all of their current hospital policies on 7/1/21.  CNA will apparently begin to non-renew all current accounts on that date, and no longer seek new hospital accounts.  This action by CNA appears to be a result of increased claim activity and generally unfavorable market conditions in this space.
