MedPro Group just rolled out a new version of their claims-made to occurrence medical malpractice conversion product. Their previous version, called Convertible Plus, required a separate charge for the tail that needed to be purchased when converting a physicians’ medical malpractice policy to occurrence. The new version, called “Convert To Occurrence” or “CTO”, does not include a separate charge for the tail if the physician(s) stay with MedPro Group for at least 5 consecutive years. In some states that requirement is as little as 3 years. The new conversion product is currently available in 18 states.
